The students learn about the cornerstones of business: planning, product differentiation, financial statements, production strategies, consumer analysis and more. They also visit two Fortune 500 businesses.
This day explores the various ways a company can reach its target audience, through digital and traditional marketing techniques. The students also participate in an interactive press conference.
The students have an opportunity to explore other cultures and the benefits and risks of doing business in foreign countries. While on a field trip to the Lubrizol corporate headquarters, the students participate in video conferences with employees throughout the world.
This day explores the basics of working with people and dealing with issues like fringe benefits, ethics, restructuring plans and negotiation strategies.
Students get to meet entrepreneurs who share their successes, failures and challenges. They also learn about local resources for starting their own businesses. An awards ceremony is held at the end of the day, recognizing the students’ achievements and how well their companies performed in top earnings and market share.
