LAB Program Facilitator

Learning About Business is seeking a LAB Program Facilitator for LAB Week 2025. This is a part-time contract position for planning and execution of Learning About Business LAB Week activities including supervision of students and managing and facilitating the daily schedule during LAB Week.
Qualifications: 
  • Must be available to attend all LAB Week activities and functions and stay on campus in the dorms for the entire week (June 8-13, 2025). 
  • Must be responsible and have good decision-making skills. 
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in education or related field. 
  • Three to five years of experience in education or related field - instruction design or corporate training are acceptable. Prefer a high school teacher.
  • Must provide a recent background check.

Duties prior to LAB Week:
  • Attend/participate in LAB Program Committee meetings as scheduled monthly from January to June 2024.
  • Assist Executive Director and Day Chairs in preparing final daily schedules for LAB Week.
  • Conduct inventory of materials in LAB office and purchase materials needed for LAB Week.
  • Prepare daily morning and evening student surveys for LAB Week. 
  • Attend meetings with Executive Director as needed.
Duties during LAB Week:
  • Enforce program policies and regulations and assist in discipline of students as needed.
  • Supervision of LAB Week interns – assigning duties and tasks as needed. Assist them in overseeing student group work and online simulation program.
  • Establish and maintain a daily presence at LAB Week making certain that the schedules are implemented on time, moving students from location to location as needed.
  • Daily review of objectives, surveys, assessment tools with students.
  • Keeping track of students throughout the day and evening – separate overnight supervision is provided by LAB and Lake Erie College.
  • Enforce daily dress code.
  • Prepare for each day’s needs with Day Chairs and Executive Director. 
  • Serve as a contact for parents/guardians.
  • Prepare a short wrap-up speech for the Friday Awards Ceremony. Also, review student speeches prior to the awards ceremony.
